# Directory overview

> Everything visitors can search for: stores, categories and amenities.

The directory tab holds everything visitors can find. It is called **Store Directory** for retail, **Unit Directory** for residential and **Space Directory** for office projects.

## What's in the tab

| Section | What it's for |
| - | - |
| Categories | Groups such as Fashion or Food & Drink |
| Stores (units, spaces) | Name, details, hours and images of each place |
| Most Popular Stores | The row of popular stores in the viewer (retail) |
| Amenities | Entrances, washrooms, elevators and other shared facilities |
| 3D Space Mapping | Draw each store on the map |
| Ceiling Configuration | Logos and colours on store roofs |

## Recommended order

**1. Create categories**

Start with a short list of categories visitors will recognize. See [Categories](https://cxdocs.planpoint.io/directory/categories.md).

**2. Add stores**

Add names, categories, descriptions, hours and images. See [Create and edit spaces](https://cxdocs.planpoint.io/directory/spaces.md).

**3. Draw them on the map**

Outline each store on its floor. See [Map spaces](https://cxdocs.planpoint.io/directory/map-spaces.md).

**4. Add amenities**

Place entrances, washrooms and elevators. See [Amenities](https://cxdocs.planpoint.io/directory/amenities.md).

## Most Popular Stores

Retail projects show a row of popular stores in the viewer. It fills itself with the stores visitors searched for, opened or asked directions to most in the last 30 days. Until there is enough activity, it shows the first stores in the directory.

To always show certain stores first, use **Pin a store…** and pick up to 6. Use the arrows to change their order and **Remove** to unpin.
