# Quickstart

> Go from an empty project to a shareable map with directions.

**1. Create the experience**

On the dashboard, choose **New experience**. Enter a name and type, check the address fields, then choose **Create Experience**. See [Dashboard](https://cxdocs.planpoint.io/dashboard.md).

**2. Draw the floor plan**

Open **General** and choose **Create floor plan**. Upload an image of each floor, set its scale, trace the walls, doors and stairs, then choose **Save**. See [Floor plan editor](https://cxdocs.planpoint.io/project/floorplan.md).

**3. Place it on the street map (optional)**

In the floor plan editor, use **Map location** to show the streets around the building. See [Street map](https://cxdocs.planpoint.io/project/street-map.md).

**4. Add your stores**

In the directory tab, add categories and stores with their details, hours and images. See [Directory overview](https://cxdocs.planpoint.io/directory/overview.md).

**5. Draw stores on the map**

Open **3D Space Mapping > Open Editor** and outline each store on its floor. See [Map spaces](https://cxdocs.planpoint.io/directory/map-spaces.md).

**6. Turn on directions**

In **Wayfinding & Positioning**, turn on **Visitor directions**. Routes are worked out automatically from your floor plan. See [Directions overview](https://cxdocs.planpoint.io/wayfinding/overview.md).

**7. Test and share**

Open the **Planpoint URL** from **General**, search for a few stores and try some routes. Then share the link or copy the **Embed code** for your website.
