Touchscreens

A touchscreen shows the full interactive map. Visitors search with the on-screen keyboard, open a store and ask for directions. Every route starts at the screen’s spot on the map.
  • Portrait screens show a panel with a large keyboard. Landscape screens use the wider layout.
  • When ads are on, the screen can open on a home page with sponsored stores. See Ads and sponsorships.

Reset after inactivity

When nobody touches the screen for a while, a countdown appears. If nobody taps it, the screen clears the search and route and goes back to its start. Set the times in Touchscreens > Display & reset, then Save settings:
  • Reset after inactivity: 120 seconds by default (15 to 86400).
  • Warning countdown: 60 seconds by default (5 to 300).
Leave enough time for visitors to read longer directions.

Non-touch displays

A non-touch display is a fixed, read-only screen, like a printed directory board:
  • A map of the screen’s floor with a red You are here marker.
  • Every store on that floor, grouped by category. The text is sized so the whole list fits on one screen. Only if it really can’t fit does the list switch pages every 20 seconds.
  • No search, buttons, ads or countdown.
The display checks for directory changes every 5 minutes. If it can’t connect, it keeps showing the last list it loaded. It is a lightweight page made for signage players. For screens without a reliable connection, use the offline package.
